What an estimate means
Duties, taxes, levies, permits and clearance fees depend on destination, tariff classification, origin, value, product and authority assessment. A quote must separate estimated amounts from confirmed third-party charges.
Who pays what
State the importer of record, who appoints and pays the clearing agent, when final customs amounts become due, and what happens if the actual amount differs from the estimate.
Restricted goods and holds
Orders may require permits or may be refused, inspected, delayed, held or returned. Do not dispatch until required information and a documented clearance path exist.
